Datatool Rev-Light.  This rev meter was originally designed for sport bikes but can be wired to any vehicle that has an engine speed sensor.  The biggest feature I found with this meter is that you can program the green, yellow and red lights to come on at designated rpm ranges.  I set mine up so that the green lights are for 1k-6k, yellow for 6k-7.5k and red from 7.5k- 8.5k.

The lights illuminate in one of three modes.  1: Only one light shows at the rpm that you are at.  2:  The lights illuminate sequentially.  3:  All lights will flash at the designated "red-line".

Problems:  First problem I encountered was that the supplied wires were for a sport bike so I had to add 2-3 feet of extra wire to hook it up to my car.  Secondly the supplied wire was wrapped in silver so it was very distracting while driving.  The was simply fixed by wrapping it in black electrical tape.

Every thing worked fine except that I didn't have any good place to run the wires so I had to run them down the front of the dash then tucked under near the steering rack.  I attached the wire to the dash using velcro.

The lights are flexible so you can mount them on a curves surface.  The black casing however is not.  Using a heat gun I heated the black case and flexed it to the necessary curve.
