11/10/02: And I thought the last intermission was long! Obviously,
in two and a half months a lot has happened. Jude has had his surgery,
and done very well. Jade has finally found her appetite, and they now
weigh in at 12 lbs. + and 9lbs +, respectively. Our apologies for
not sending out thank you cards yet. We really do appreciate all everyone
has done, and have just been very busy (even though that's not a good excuse)
Please bear with us-we'll include recent pictures when we get them
mailed! Tonight I will be posting new pictures at the website, so check
out how our little grand-urchins have grown! Baby News 8/23/02: Sorry so long since the last update. Please see new pictures in the "third month" album. Jade now weighs 6 lbs, 3.8 oz. and Jude weighs a hefty 7lbs 4 oz. Getting bigger and stronger all the time. We found out today that Jude will need surgery to correct a small hole in his lower back, and they will need to remove a small part of his skull that grew together too soon. Both will be done at oone time and will be scheduled soon, so please keep praying for us! Baby News 8/5/02: Jade and Jude are both at home now and doing fine. (Nicki and Nathan still have some adjusting to do!) The shower went very well, thanks to everyone who came and/or sent gifts. All were much needed and appreciated! I will be posting shower pictures and first night home pictures sometime this week, so check back for the latest. Baby News 7/31/02: Jade and Jude will both be coming home on Saturday! The Shower will go ahead as planned-please come if you can. Baby News 7/29/02: More progress! Jade and Jude have both broken the 5 lb mark! Jade is at 5 lbs, 07 oz, and Jude is at 5 lbs, 1.8 oz. Coming home should be just around the corner. Check out the new pictures under "Jade and Jude third month". These were taken during their weighing and bath last night. Baby News 7/26/02: Jade and Jude are still doing well, but not ready to come home yet. Even though Jade passed Jude on weight earlier in the week, he caught back up yesterday. Weights are now Jude: 4 lbs 12 oz., and Jade: 4 lbs 8 oz. Baby News 7/23/02: Both Jade and Jude are very close to coming home now. Both are off of oxygen and off of tube feedings, just taking bottles. Except for the occasional trouble breathing (especially while eating) they are doing exceptionally well. Weights are Jade: 4 lbs and 4 oz., and Jude: 4 lbs and 6 oz. They should both be home in the next two to three weeks. |
