• 10.18.03, 4:23 pm - OK, Well...Go Yankees, I Guess: Now that the Cubs and the Red Sox have lost their respective League Championship Series, I'm just hoping that the Yankees sweep the World Series in four games. It would be the most anti-climatic postseason ever.Remember that job interview I mentioned in my last update ? Well, I got it. I'm now video editor at Championship Productions in Ames. They make instructional videos for sports, like videos that show practice and conditioning drills. They also tape coaches' clinics and turn those into videotapes. We mostly work with college coaches. I'm contractually restricted from telling you what we've been working on since I started working there since the projects haven't been released yet, but we've been working on some videos with some pretty big-name coaches, so it's been kind of exciting. I can tell you we've recently released videos featuring Lute Olson, Kelvin Sampson, and Steve Alford.
I also get to do some travelling to help shoot the videos. So far I've only gone to Des Moines, but next week I'm going to Northern Illinois University , and in November I'm going to Arizona State University . It's been a fun job so far.
In other news, I'm officially going to jinx my Kansas City Chiefs by mentioning on my website how great they're doing this year. Dick Vermeil is what that kids call "the man." We've got a Monday Night game vs. Oakland this week, trying to go 7-0 for the first time ever. Hopefully we won't have gone down the toilet by the next time I update.
