• 4.3.03, 4:29 pm - Where the Hell Have You Been?: That's the question no one wants to know the answer to. But, since I asked:© 2003 Dustin McDonoughI've been busy with my move. I'm now living at my new place in Ames. It's probably the nicest apartment I've had yet, so I'm pretty happy with it overall. Now I just need to get my cat over here. He's still staying with my parents because he needs to go to the vet later this month to have...well, something removed. And no, it's not what you're thinking...well, actually it may be what you're thinking...kind of. Just ask if you really want to know.
Kim and I saw Elton John and Billy Joel in concert here in Ames on Tuesday night. It was a damn good show. Best concert I've ever seen...of course my list of concert attendances includes Amy Grant, Michael Bolton, and a list of bad Christian rock bands (no joke). Seriously, we both had a great time. To use a term I never use, it was kickass.
In the work department, I'm slowly making my new desk at WOI uniquely my own. Everybody there thinks I'm a druggie because I brought a lava lamp in. I promptly inform them that Dan also has a lava lamp in his Hamilton Hall office, and that he's the druggie...not me.
Kim is headed to Las Vegas tomorrow for the RTNDA conference next week and will be gone for a week, which means she will have left me alone on my birthday. So if someone wants to call me next week and make sure I haven't drowned in my own vomit from drinking alone, that would be great.
Why is it that by reading these paragraphs in sequence I feel like I'm watching the comedian competition on Star Search?
Oh, and in war news: it's still going on.
By the way, WOI is wrapping up its Spring Membership Drive on Friday. If you listen to public radio, consider making a contribution. Call 1-800-861-8000, or go to the WOI website.
