+ it's been almost two months since i played at the Undergrounds! here's what happened:

it was a bit hard to find the place...but my wife and i made it there with plenty of time. Jim, who put the show together, was playing some cool music on the system as they set up the stage for the night. i was joined on stage by none other than Bernard (Killing Ivy drummer) on drums. it was fun...Bernard and i were the first to play that evening. We played a very short set despite some technical difficulties and me playing through a small "ghetto" amp, as Bernard so distinctly put it. we didn't have monitors, so i could barely hear myself (and that was when the mic was working!). due to my "ghetto" amp, Bernard couldn't really hear the guitar...and because we hadn't practiced at all, he had a really fun time trying to keep a beat for the songs. Erase My Brain played that night too...i didn't even know they were back (with some line-up changes, of course). Danny Conner (& the Nobodyelses) got up on stage and showed us all how to rock the acoustic guitar! Killing Ivy played a good long set too...i didn't get to see The Absolutes, but they sounded good from outside in the parking lot. my wife had been a great trooper all day long, despite not feeling good that day, so i decided to leave a bit early.
03.29.06

(thanks Mark & Blue!) + sunday brought another day full of music with festival con dios. the music was cool, especially when the power went out and we all sang worship songs. i had fun hanging out with the "crew" (chris, forrest, travis, daniel). i also met a lot of nice people. i truly hope to see you all around soon.
