The DEA has agents worldwide trying to stem the flow of drugs into this country. The CIA has agents worldwide trying to stem the flow of governments who might be hostile to the business interests of corporations in this country. The CIA had funneled in drugs to help finance one of the partisans in a civil war in Nicaragua during the mid 1980s. In order to do this one of 4 events happened:
1) They had a conflict with the DEA in which there were casualties - which were not reported widely in the commercial media.
2) They infiltrated the DEA to such an extent that they totally outwitted them and avoided any such conflict.
3) They coordinated operations with the DEA in order to avoid conflicts.
4) They allowed their agents to be captured when caught and bailed them out quietly after the fact.
Every scenario involves massive corruption, which makes me wonder how we can be so smug about even considering decertification of Mexico as a drug war "ally". We should seriously consider decertification of the UNITED STATES government in the war on drugs. Better yet, we should get our government out of the internal affairs of other governments, especially with regards to personnel. Comments?
