Here, I plan to put interesting pictures I have taken. I promise that they won't be pictures of me "hanging out" with my friends or anything like that. I was thinking more along the lines of pictures of all my outdoor excursions. We'll see.

My first posting in the "pictures" section. These three are pictures from a somewhat recent sailing trip out to the channel islands. On the way to Anacapa Island (The closest, smallest and most beautiful of the Channel Islands) we found ourselves in the middle of a school (or is it Pod? I think it's Pod) of thousands of dolphins. These pictures do not do justice to the amount of dolphins around the boat. For miles on every side, the water was filled with leaping dolphins. It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I felt
like a child, running from one side of the boat to the other to see the dolphins jumping. They played in front of the boat, where I got this picture on the right. To give you an idea of how close I was to this dolphin, instead of taking this picture, I could have easily reached down and touched its fin. The above picture is of when we first spotted the dolphin. The island in the background is Anacapa... made popular about a year ago when an airliner crashed into the ocean right next to it... actually right about where we were
when these pictures were taken I never thought of that... that's pretty weird. Anyways, it was an amazing trip that left all of us on the boat (Me, Ryan Knapp, and my Uncle Shawn) giddy as chlidren. Once again, I cannot even begin to describe the amount of dolphin. There were thousands. Miles around us in every direction. With the sun setting and the island in the background, it made for an amazing scene. I only wish I had a better camera than a cheap disposable.. and I wish I had more film.
