My name is Chris Butler.
I am a 2000 graduate of Louisiana Tech University in Ruston where I received a bachelor's degree in political science and an English minor.
I also hold a master's degree in communication, with an emphasis in print journalism, from The University of Louisiana at Monroe.
I graduated December 20, 2003.
Three days later, I left Louisiana for good and spent two years living in Port St. Lucie, Florida, where I worked as a staff writer at the weekly Hometown News.
In Aug. 2005, I relocated to Sebring, Florida, and am now a staff writer for Highlands Today, a daily newspaper.
