Palanar was a wandering barbarian from another world. He wandered his world in search of adventure and battle. Coming to great renown as a fighter of greater evils (although he was slew many a good fighter and a duel) Palanar’s sense of honor lead him to destroy or subdue what he thought to be dishonorable evil beings. He wielded a large double bladed battle axe which he named Ratakast, a word in his home language that meant Defender of Honor. As a wanderer, he not only wandered his home planet but he wandered other worlds and dimensions, battling the dishonorable. In a battle with an Alien Intelligence, Palanar was seriously wounded in destroying the Intelligence. The dwarves of that dimension saw the battle (and a few died aiding him in that battle) and took Palanar back to their City under the Mountains of their world. They explained to Palanar that his wounds were fatal and he would die soon, and as thanks for saving their world from enslavement by the Intelligence, they offered to Immortalize him by making him into a rune weapon in the fashion of his own Ratakast. He thanked them and agreed heartily. Palanar was put into a soul gem on his own free will so he could forever fight the dishonorable. The Gem was set into a doubled bladed battle-axe that was forged from a black-red metal and adorned with Silver runes. The axe, Palanar the Wanderer, was lost in an attack from temporal raiders. Where it found it’s way around the galaxy, wandering again as Palanar loved to do.

2. Alignment: Aberrant. Can be used by any alignment EXCEPT miscreant or Diabolic. Characters of miscreant or diabolic alignment will suffer 4d6 M.D. if they touch it.
3. Can be used to Parry energy weapons at only a –4 penalty.

5. Can be thrown up 1000 ft and return to owner. Can be called back to owner from anywhere in a 2 mile radius if lost.
6. Damage: 1d6x10 M.D. normal 2d6x10+20 to supernatural creatures, creatures of magic, those of miscreant or diabolic alignment, and Intelligences
7. Grows and shrinks with to be proportional to the size of the owner. Can be made, upon mental command by the owner, to be anywhere from a hand axe to a large two handed axe. Always retrains the same appearance though.

10. Adds a plus 2 to all saving throws and a plus 10% to save vs. coma/death
