Brandy has been with Volumes of Revolutions since the programs conception. She is the big wig on the staff - everyone reports to her. She handles PR for the organization, budgeting, she is the end all be all of the artistic design of the shows - what she says goes. Brandy also is in charge of all movement aspects of our programs. She brings experiences from her marching days as a member of the first guard to come out of Tuscola High School, in Waynesville, NC. She has marched at WCU and briefly participated in Sanctions of Imaginations Winterguard. She then went on to start Smokey Mountain's first winterguard. She has taught at Eastern Randolph HS in Ramseur NC, Piedmont HS in Monroe NC, Mt. Pleasant HS, Aria, and with us. She brings almost 10 years of experience to this organization. Brandy holds a degree in Dance Eductaion and Theatre from UNCC's Dance and Theatre Department. She is currently teaches dance at JT Williams Middle School in Charlotte-Meck School System.
Rob has also been with Volumes of Revolutions since the program's conception. Rob handles a good portion of the business aspects of the unit (taking money, scheduling, typing letters etc. . .) Rob is in charge of all weapon activities and training on all equipment within the ensemble. Rob also writes drill for our organization. Rob brings experiences from marching in the APW Winterguard, Parish NY and most recently marching (and ageing out of) with Aria, Greensboro's Independant Guard. Rob has spent the last four and a half years teaching at Piedmont and Sun Valley High Schools. He is also the Dierector of Mt. Pleasant High School's colorguard programs.
Amber has been the director of all set construction - deconstruction, painting, sanding, tapping, measuring, and building, of anything and everything we collectively want. She is very talented at telling us when we are "over the top" with our ideas, but most times she makes what we see in our head work, and makes it a reality. Amber holds a BA degree in Theatre, with her speacalty in Lighting Design from, UNCC's Department of Dance and Theatre.
We are excited about this wonderful addition to the Volumes of Revolutions staff. Laura is aSophomore at UNCC studying to become a physical therapist. Laura is a past graduate of our program, and handles a lot of the technique drilling of the Flag Line. Laura marched for Sun Valley High School Colorgaurd and Winterguard for all four years of high school, serving as captain for two years. Please join me in welcoming Laura to our instructional family.
Lindsay is a past member of the Volumes of Revolutions Winterguard. She will be helping out during camp with the weapon line and flage technique. Lindsay also instructs at Mt. Pleasant HS as the weapon technician. Lindsay is currently attending CPP, with future plans on attending a four year school.
