Ginkakuji The eighth Ashikaga shogun, Yoshimasa, built it. It is called "Ginkaku" Compared with "Kinkaku," but not used silver at all. He preferred the culture and built a foundation of Momoyama culture such as tea ceremony, gardening, and flower arrangement.
Eikando The formal name of this temple is "Zenrinji." It is renowned for its foliage.
Nanzenji It is one of the biggest temple in Muromachi period. It has a repetition of Japanese rock garden which is consisted of sands, stones, and pine trees.
Heian Shrine It has a beautiful vermillion painted pillars and gardens. It was built in honor of the relocation of the capital for 1,100 years.
Gion Guests enjoy drinks and Japanese dishes while being entertained by maiko dancers.
Yasaka Shrine It is famous for Gion festival. People come here on New Year's Day to pray.
Chion'in It is famous as the largest two-story Sammon Gate in Japan, at a height of 24m. You can see the biggest temple bell in Japan which is known as the watch-night bell.
Kiyomizudera It has a marvelous view from the main hall, built on a towering scaffold. The number of people who visit here is the most in Kyoto.
