| Ginkakuji |
The eighth
Ashikaga shogun, Yoshimasa, built it. It is
called "Ginkaku" Compared with "Kinkaku,"
but not used silver at all. He preferred the
culture and built a foundation of Momoyama
culture such as tea ceremony, gardening, and
flower arrangement.

name of this temple is "Zenrinji." It
is renowned for its foliage.

repetition of Japanese rock garden which is

as the largest two-story Sammon Gate in Japan, at
a height of 24m. You can see the biggest temple
bell in Japan which is known as the watch-night
bell.

It has a
marvelous view from the main hall, built on a
towering scaffold. The number of people who visit
here is the most in Kyoto.
