| Tenryuji |
The temple has
a beautiful garden with Arashiyama forming a
scenic backdrop.

| Jojakkoji |
It is known as
the temple where the Ogura hyakunin isshu was
compiled. Stone step lead you from the gate to
the main temple. The maple trees around Nio gate,
on the way to the temple, sends vivid colors. You
can have a distant view of Kyoto city after
passing the main building and going up to Taho
tower.

| Adashino
Nembutsuji |
There are 8,000
stone Buddhist images and tombstones for people
who are leaving no one to tend to their graves.

| Daitokuji |
It is the
temple where Sen no Rikyu created the tea
ceremony. There are 21 buildings in the grounds
of a shrine. Daisen'in, Kotoin, Ryugen'in are
opened anytime, but a part of the others are
opened occassionally during spring and fall.

| Kinkakuji |
It is the
gorgeous Golden Pavilion. It was recomstructed in
1955 and gilt in 1987. The third Ashikaga shogun,
Yoshimitsu, inherited a Saioji's cottage and
built Kitayama palace.

It is a famous with
Japanese rock garden. Hosokawa Katsumoto
inherited a Tokudaiji's cottage and made it a
temple in 1450.

| Ninnaji |
The main hall is famous as
originally being part of the Imperial Palace.
Many princes went into it until Meiji period.
