Imperial Palace |
It was an
Emperor's residence until the Meiji Restoration.
It is a huge premise (1200m north to south, 800m
east to west). You can roam premise freely, but
you need a permission to see inside of the
Imperial Palace in advance.

Castle |
The shogun
Tokugawa Ieyasu raised the castle in 1603 and it
was his lodging when he visited Kyoto. The castle
tower in those days burned down in 1788.

Honganji |
This huge
wooden temple next to Daibutsuden (Nara) is
famous for Goeido, at a height of 37m, width of
76m.

| Toji |
The tallest
five-tiered pagoda in Japan. The formal name of
this temple is "Kyouo Gokokuji". It has
many images of Buddha which is reserved for
national treasure.
