Great match.. in the 1st game LOL came out smokin' but we caught up on
Jimi Hendrix realy put it away on apple things.
Then the LOL's added a couple players and led the whole way in game
2... Lightdancer provided the inspiration and the late comers the muscle
in game 3 as well... eventually we were outgunned 11-6.
We did rally briefly when dise leapt up on a chair and named all the
spiders for 19-20 in the final game. I missed the last couple of cats (and
why is burning missionaries at the stake who come to your door in the
middle of a game considered a crime?) but we eventually succumbed to the
numbers and a fine team. Great fun was had by all.

It was just one of them good nights for us, beautiful turnout.
Fourplay's got some great players and they whooped up on us in game one on
cats such as Spain cities, landlocked states and things to do while you're
procrastinating.
It was a neck and neck match where we took the
early lead, then they came back and went one ahead of us, 15-14.
From then on, they scored consistently to the end to win 31-26.
Game two,
dagny dropped by to help us out, and we took a lead from the start of 12-8
on a double pointer on which all 10 answers were found, gotta love that.
Kind of devastating to have to play Hall & Oates under the burden of
equality, but we did well anyway. Later in this game, we heard
paramedics' voices outside, and who should roll in but lightdancer!
With the oxygen support, we had to put out all our cigarettes, lest we
blow the place to smithereens, but who needs cigarettes to get high when
you got someone like lightdancer whose eyes can take you so high you have
to look down to see Heaven?
Ahh, well anyway, LOL'ers really kicked
into gear at that point, inspired by the return of our beloved angel, who
I must say still could use our prayers so if you have the time, keep her
in your prayers too. Game 2 finished out with things in a laundromat,
we won 32-27.
Game three, we took it from the get-go, 5-0 on something.
We scored five points in the following round too, and persistence paid
off, but Fourplay put up an awesome fight that made it worth our while.
Dise had an impressive five bagger on the Arachnophobia cat that put us
within one point of each other, 20-19 I believe. We kept the faith
and finished out with a win an hour and 10 minutes later at 30-25.
Which is a pretty long game considering only two champ rounds and the one
double point round where all the answers were uncovered.

Game 1 started with Coastal States which the Raiders knew 2 more of
them than we did...6-4. James Brown songs was next and we found out
Raiders are James Brown fans 12-6. Raiders still held their lead
after Parrots...17-11. (whole lot of wiggling going on). Wonders
started catching up with Bewitched Characters...21-17. We were
nipping at the Raiders heels after JC names..23-21. (ALOT OF WIGGLES) And
wouldn't you know it, Wonders take a 2pt lead after A
disorders..27-25. Does that make a statement?? We like the food cats
too...Wonders win by a slice of CHEESE..30-29. Great Game!!!
Game 2 started off the same way, Raiders taking a 6-4 lead after
Candle scents <sniff>. Things associated w/ Switzerland,
Raiders widening the lead...12-7. <wiggling> 3 letter
palidromes, Raiders holding us off....17-12. B Cities was our
downfall, Raiders stomping all over our wiggles....23-13. Japanese
monsters was last and Raiders kicked some Wigglin' butt...31-17. : (
Game 3, Need I say it? Raiders 7-3 lead after Spanish speaking
countries. Opera composers, Raiders 12-8. I think the Wonders had
BAD LAG tonight. Raiders kept their lead through things about
Utah..17-11, Marsupials..23-14, Fruit Juices..26-19, Star Wars (can
you tell i'm tired) 29-24, and last but not least, Meg Ryan Movies,
Raiders Winning......33-28. Congrats Raiders! WIGGLE ON WONDERS
