We had an excellent turnout tonight with most of our new Raiders present. We worked hard and had the Rats on the ropes most of the time but they managed to pull off the win despite the fact that they should have been in the bathroom instead of the tourney room. The next time we meed the rats, we will be sure to wear face masks with our raincoats. Now I must go buy some more pepto-bismol for the team, the Raiders downed it at the team meeting after the game to calm their nausea. Anybody know a good protologist in Texas? We fell behind in the next round, and Fourplay zoomed ahead with the "Languages no longer spoken" cat. Molly and Malt both got answers in the next 2 cats, but we just couldn't catch up. Final score 20-30. The second game began with cities in Spain and we had such a lovely visit on the couch!! Sandy pulled us up in the next cat, British Prime Ministers with 4 answers. | 3 | (gameday) Monday (teams) Third Rock v Six Pack (Game1) 35-29 (Game2) 32-15 (MVP) Darth-Nite with a Honorable Mention to Madbison (Present) Darth-Nite, Darth-Wolf, Ysatis, Summoner1, WItchy_Woman, Baggirl,Madbison,Bigman, Hope_1 (Commentary) --------------- It was a fun game with the pack, despite the introduction of many new (read: obscure) cats...and who is Vincent D'Onofrio, anyway? Better ask dewboy.... Well, the PACKERS were packing us in most of the first game. They took an early lead on JAMES EARL JONES movies (if you build it, they will ROCK) and held it almost to the end...we took a 28-27 edge with Melissa Ethridge songs and came back with a 35-29 win thanks to Kevin Costner (hey, he owed us for dancing with our wolverine relatives!) The second game started with a new cat (that we hope dies a quick death)- EUCARYOTIC CELLS. Somehow we managed a 2-1 lead on that (hope? science? who knew?) Bot followed that with an equally stimulating cat, DEAD LANGUAGES, and our MVR (do you speak any english, nite?) lead us to a 9-2 lead. As close as we are to Ed the Sock, we pulled to a 14-4 lead in footwear, then sank the Pack 25-7 on the TITANIC (the ROCK does go on!) We increased our score to 25-7 in a DOUBLE DOGS CAT (after all, we are canine!) and then saw it whittled to 25-12 when DEWBOY swept the Vincent D'Onofrio cat (I think vince was dewman, dewboy's daddy!) We hopped ON A PLANE and landed with a 32-15 win. Thanks for the game PACK, it was fun.... --------------- (reporter) ed the sock |

Then the rock went on and rocked us and took game one . The next game was all rocks with them jumping to a big lead and cruising to the win. My expertise on vincent D'onofrio movies wasnt enough and the rocks won the match. I was very happy to have more than a six-pack there for once and the game was highly competetive. WTG LOLers for coming out in numbers yet again. Game 1 was close until the BAY cat came up when the LOLers nearly ran the cat and finished on the Jimmy Buffet (double) with a 34-23 win. Game 2 was close as well with the LOLers pulling out the last two cats. Note to Sapphire: turn off the speakers when we play the Wonders.... Considering how outnumbered we were we did pretty good. In the first game we jumped out to a 5-4 lead on Harold Robbins. But, the LOL's took it on ffrom there to win 34-23. The second game looked like a blowout for the 7's but on the horse supplies category we were behind just 18-20. They went on to win 30-22. Libra and I were MVP's.
