Ridge Runner Mt. Curs was started just a few years ago. It materialized out of several friendships, which just so happened to happen because of these dogs. These friendships helped me to realize one man can not breed and raise and train enough dogs to keep a line going and improve them by himself. so, Clint Halstead and myself Chris Boone along with Jerry Lane saw that we had a common goal in these dogs,sure it would be easy to go to a big time breeder and get a pup but that wouldnt be any fun now would it? Now Jerry has been breeding these dogs for years, while Clint and I have not been in it as long but we aint no new kids on the block! Now these dogs arent any new breed or line they are simply the true old time mt. curs. they are the same kind of dogs my grandad had the whole time i was growing up, not the fiesty or houndy looking dogs just true mt. curs. they are mostly Kemmer Stock with a little of the original side thrown in for good measure. Now I know that they don't or won't suit everybody but that is ok with us.but if you like this type of dog give us a call or come by for a hunt . We will try to show you what weve got.
