The Rotary Club of Valenzuela West was born 2 days after the February 25, 1986 EDSA Revolution which ushered in renewed hopes of the Filipino people for a better life ahead. This major turning point in the history of the nation provided an inspiration, most especially to the business sector, to forge a vibrant path towards progress.
Guided by such inspiration, our young club choose the symbolic figure of the MAN ON ANVIL signifying the dynamic business professionals guided by the Rotary objective of encouraging and fostering the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise through high ethical standards in business and profession, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations and the dignifying by each Rotarian of his occupation as an opportunity to serve the society.
The SMOKING VOLCANO then projects the fresh, steadfast and lofty ideals of three enterprising members of the Rotary Club of Valenzuela West. The sight of nature never fails to soothe the tired spirit and the weary body. It is for this reason that the view of a towering volcano in the distant horizon emitting smoke towards the azure sky serves the symbolism of an undying hope and immovable resolve to surpass whatever insurmountable hindrances and obstacles there may be along the way to fulfillment of the club's noble goal.
On the whole, the club's logo provides the beaconing light towards which the members move as they, in the process, carve their own niche and excel in their respective fields of endeavor. Guided by common hopes and ideals, we intend to use whatever success we reap to benefit the community we live in and eventually make of ourselves effective citizens worthy of the respect and adulation of our fellowmen.
Now on its 16th year, we hope to touch more lives and be of help to the less fortunate and needy brothers in the community and its surroundings. We wish to be a part in preserving our environment for better tomorrow. The members of RC Valenzuela West remain hopeful because "Rotary Brings Hope". We are always "United in Service and Dedicated to Peace" since "Our Life is into Rotary" and we "Enjoy It." "We Honor Rotary with Faith and Enthusiasm" as we "Look Beyond Ourselves" in giving triumph to the adage "Real Happiness is Helping Others" because we "Believe in Whatever We Do and Do What We Believe In." We are a "Friend" to the community because needless to say, We "Act with Integrity, Serve with Love and Work for Peace." We "Build the Future with Action and Vision" in order to show that "Rotary Cares." To "Follow our Rotary Dreams", we "Act with Consistency, Credibility and Continuity" as we "Create Awareness and Take Action" so as to prove that "Mankind is Our Business."
