Club Profile

The Rotary Club of Teresa is a brainchild of PP Rudy San Felipe, of RC Lakeshore Rizal. Sometime in October 1997, he gathered prominent businessmen and professionals in Teresa, Rizal, to serve as the core group in Rotary programs in this part of Rizal province. Since then, he worked with the group and commenced with the recruitment of prospective members and conducted leadership training. A series of orientation on the goals and objectives to the Rotary International/Philippines were administered by competent speakers coming from various clubs within the district which included Rtn. Edgar Garrovillas of Lakeshore Rizal and PP Eugenio "Gene" Abril of the Rotary Club of Marikina North.
Finally, on December 20, 1997, the club held its election of provisional officers and directors by direct voting. The following were elected: President - Andres "Ading" San Jose; Vice-president - Flor "Flor" San Juan' Secretary - Alfredo "Boboy" Campos; Treasurer - Almario "Mario" Francisco; Auditor - Orestes "Esteng" Cruz; Business Manager - Orlando "Orlan" Manio; Peace Officers - Rodel "Boy" Dela Cruz and Leonardo "Totoy" Sto. Domingo. Directors: Club Service - Hernando "Popoy" Bautista; Community Service - Enrique "Jun" Sengson; Vocational Service - Lope "Epol" San Diego; and International Service - Herman "Tikboy" Sto. Domingo.
The group agreed to charter the provisional Rotary Club of Teresa where the club's official application for chartering was received in the office of the South East Service Center on January 29, 1998 with RC Lakeshore Rizal as the sponsoring club. Rotary International finally acknowledged the membership of the Rotary Club of Teresa in its worldwide association through the a letter dated February 4, 1998 signed by R.I. President Glenn W. Kinross with a message wishing the club's success in all its endeavor.
