Club Profile

RC Rizal Centro was organized and sponsored by RC Marikina North and officially chartered on April 29, 1992. Charter President, Manuel "Manny" Reyes laid down the foundation of the club and literally worked day and night to ensure that the club finds its place in District 3800. His leadership and motivation carried the club through a difficult first year. The second year of the club underwent a leadership crisis with the resignation of the Incoming President Chito Tolentino and PE Pepe Manalili due to relocations of job assignments. The year was highlighted by the signing of a Sisterhood Pact with RC Charoen Nakorn of Bangkok, Thailand.
On the third year, under the able leadership of Pres. Rene Ponti, emphasis was on a series of medical and dental missions which benefited a lot of indigent people. The next year with Pres. Roger Ramos at the helm the "Adopt-a-School" campaign was the centerpiece program with both Mayamot and Mambugan Elementary Schools. Again, RCRC was number one in the District for attendance.
The fourth year with Pres. Tom Rocamora, Jr. looked to the future and prepared the groundwork for the more challenging and difficult years of the club. The program on Membership Retention and Development was given emphasis. Pres. Rey Carpio implemented the club's projects early during his term and the focus was on the various WCS and Matching Grants. The sixth year of RCRC under Pres. Raymundo Quintana completed the club's dream started by past presidents such as the creation of RCRC Foundation, institutionalized the "Adopt-a-School" program and operating within the club's budgetary restraints. The club was adjudged as one of the Most Outstanding Clubs of the district and got the Hall of Fame for attendance for five consecutive years.
The following year under Pres. Jun Zafra's lead the club was adjudged as one of the Most Outstanding Clubs and had a 100% attendance record. A matching grant was implemented and two more matching grants are in the pipeline and for implementation. This year under Pres. Jun Sebastian's leadership RCRC already had achieved its modest goals for the year and still continues with the standard excellence that the RCRC is now known for. The club is still on a 100% clip on attendance, implemented multiple WCS grants and is a 100% TRF contributor.
Our club will aim higher and face more opportunities in the future and we intend to continue the tradition of maintaining our motivation and fellowship among its members and district Rotarians.
