Club Profile

The Rotary Club of Pasig East was chartered on June 16, 1988. The second daughter of the Rotary Club of Pasig. RCPEs members are mostly second generation Rotarians. Among the club's major service projects and activities are as follows:

Continuing Projects and Activities:
  • Annual cleft lip mission serving an average of 15 children patients each year.
  • Livelihood skills training center.
  • Sewing center continues to receive support from Rotary clubs around the world through WCS#03139. A second sewing center was established in Daang Paa, Kalawaan, Pasig City.
  • Annual Dental mission and Operation Tule at Bgy. Bagong Ilog, Pasig City serving an average of 65 patients each year.
  • RVC, Interact and Career guidance with Pasig City Schools.
  • 14 Paul Harris Fellows and 11 Sustaining Members.
  • Family outings, attendance in the Rotary multi-district, regional and international conferences.
  • Pasig City General Hospital (WCS 3801) - Medical equipment, free surgical procedures and medical supplies to indigent patients.
  • Incorporated RCPE Foundation, Inc. in 1999 to raise donations for Special Education Program of Pasig City General Hospital and to receive donations in cash or in kind for all projects of the Rotary Club of Pasig East.
Special One-time Projects/Activities:
  • Hosted DA '91, Interact Convention, Interact Leadership Seminar and Golf Tournament.
  • Sponsored scholars in the Industrial Technical Program of the Meralco Foundation Institute.
  • Surgical mission for indigent patients for non-malignant breast tumor and nasal operation.
  • Sponsored hearing aid to a seven-year old child.
  • Co-sponsored Haircutting and Cosmetology Summer course with the ARAPE at St. Paul College, Pasig; assisted in Candle Making project, etc.
  • Vocational Service / Career Counseling / Plant tours for students.
  • Donated 1 heart valve to a widowed Pasig resident.
  • "Healthy Teeth for a Healthy Life" project - aimed at educating 90,000 students on proper dental care.
Significant Awards Received:
  • Recipient of Children's Opportunity Grant from The Rotary Foundation, in the amount of US$ 25,000.00 for the "Healthy Teeth for a Healthy Life" project (RY 1999-2000).
  • Received Mayor's Awards for Distinguished Service to the Pasig City General Hospital for fee surgeries to indigent patients and for sourcing our approximately PhP 2.5M worth of hospital equipment and supplies from the U.S.A. This award was given to the club on December 17, 1997 (RY 1997-98).
  • Three consecutive years of District Award for Best Bulletin (RY 1991 to 1993).
  • District Award for Top Attendance (RY 1990-91 3rd highest with 92% rating).
  • District Award for the "Most Informative Exhibit" during the "Kasayahan sa District 3800".
  • Various District Achievement Awards for hosting various district activities.
  • Various Rotary International Significant Achievement Awards for meeting annual goals for Rotary International Projects in the different Avenues of Service.
