Club Profile

It was sometime in the month of June 2000 when a Rotarian from RC Kalookan met with some Rotarian friends from Bgy Talipapa, Quezon City that the idea of forming a new Rotary club in the area was first conceived.
It was sometime in the month of June 2000 when a Rotarian from RC Kalookan met with some Rotarian friends from Bgy Talipapa, Quezon City that the idea of forming a new Rotary club in the area was first conceived.
A coordination meeting was then set where District Governor Teddy Zamora and some district officers discussed with the Bgy. Talipapa groupf of Caloocan City represented by Jess Gonzales, Leo Montefalcon, Boy Hapatinga, Max Gabriel, Joe Baetiong, Ding Cayubit, Robert Gallinera and Freddie Boy Cruz the possibility of tapping potential members to come up with the magic number of 25 charter members.
Gov. Teddy Zamora, after having been convinced of the sincerity and determination of the group to join his district gave the go signal to start the formation of the new club which has been named the Rotary Club of Metro Novaliches Caloocan.
The first organizational meeting wad held on August 2, 2000 with DGSR Clem San Agustin and Rey Vistro, the sponsoring club attending the meeting. Weekly meetings were held under the supervision of DGSR Clem San Agustin.
An election was held in August 2000 and the following officers and directors where elected to pursue the noble goals of the club:

The club 12 club members attended the Mary 16-17, 2001 District Conference at EDSA Shangrila Hotel. This is the first time the Rotary Club of Metro Novaliches Caloocan was formally introduced to the District.
June 16, 2001 was a red letter day for the RC of Metro Novaliches Caloocan because this is the time that Rotary International granted their charter. RCMNC was accepted as part of District 3800. This memorable occasion will now signal the implementation of lined up noteworthy projects:
  • Quarterly Medical/Dental mission
  • Operation "Tule"
  • Gift giving projects
  • Installation of 4-Way Test
  • Installation of warning signs on traffic & drug abuse
  • Construction of building in GSIS Village to serve as general headquarters of the new club
  • Distribution of medicines (multi-vitamins) to Grade I school children
