Club Profile

The Rotary Club of Cainta Brookside Hills has come a long way as a club since its chartering on December 12, 1998. The growing up pains continue with some of the original members leaving the club to pursue other ends and new ones getting in. The club, like any other, will have to contend with these changes. On the whole, however, it has met and will continue to meet challenges with steadfast dedication for it becomes a club to reckon with, respective to the needs of the community for which it serves.
The year 2000 has been one filled with so much civic activity for the club despite the political turmoil which we as a nation went through, and which culminated at EDSA People Power II. Under the able direction of action President Manny Maglaque, RC Cainta Brookside was able to conduct the following activities: (1) Fumigation to guard against Dengue at Bgy Mambungan, Antipolo City (2) Nutrition & Medical mission at the Christian Learning Ctr, Mabuhay Homes, Binangonan, Rizal in cooperation with Dir. Francis Gonzaga (3) Children attending regular Sunday Catechism under the supervision of the Sacred Heart Parish, were treated to snacks courtesy of Pres. Manny, Sec. Ning and Dir. Mel (4) copies of Babasahing Pambata were also distributed to children as part of Book Campaign projects.
4-Way Test billboard was installed at Gate 3 of Brookside Hills Subdivision. Another set of Babasahing Pambata was distributed to students of Muntindilaw Elementary School. The club also joined the Bloodletting activities. Golf for a Cause project was done, proceeds of which will be used for the construction of the Multipurpose Center at the Oval area of the Jogger's and Children Park.
During the Medical missions in cooperation with Rizal Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, vitamins and medicines were distributed to poor patients from the squatter area surrounding Brookside Hills.
The club continues to have big dreams in its pursuit of service above self. With the sincere determination of each Rotarian member, we believe we will succeed. That is a promise!!!
