Club Profile

The Rotary Club of Binangonan was reorganized through the special representation of DGSR Rudy San Felipe of RC Lakeshore Rizal and later joined by PP Jison Julian including other RC Cardona officers.
March 1999, the first core and determined members elected Mirna R. Campaano and Francis Magno as President and VP/PE respectively. President Mirna Campaano appointed the club officers and directors.
June 9, 1999, the Rotary Club of Binangonan was chartered through the efforts of DGSR Rudy San Felipe and DG Tony Co with 23 charter members lead by Charter President Mirna R. Campaano and VP/PE Francis Magno.
Through the year, the club has undertaken a number of projects but reset by crisis, resignation of members and officers and slow turn out weekly meeting attendees, on the last month of the charter year, the club neared to breaking up.
July 2000, Pres. Francis Magno reiterated his program of club reforms. August 2000 after the induction of officers and directors for RY 2000-2001, the president with the support of the whole membership, started total reform to revitalize the club. The club's instituted reform led to discard the traditional constitution and club by-laws adapted during the charter year that affected the resounding growth of the club and started to adopt the standard Rotary club constitution and by-laws prescribed by the Rotary International that are in harmony with the constitutional documents of Rotary International.
October 2000, three Rotarian returnees and seven new recruits joined the club. The disturbing plight of the club did not paralyze service and objectives of the Rotary Club of Binangonan. To date, the supportive officers and board of directors go on carrying out projects such as:
  • Erection of 4-Way Test sign in conspicuous places of Binangonan
  • Anti-drug abuse campaign at Brgy. Sitio Mata to signal the start of awareness on drug's menacing affects.
  • Distribution of school bags and primer books in cooperation with the Tres Nios Learning School, Inc. to the Binangonan community schools
  • Service projects with senior citizens or elderly of Binangonan which started in Brgy. Pag-asa
