During the middle of the night, our sentries reportedly uncovered an enemy scout lurking along our fortress's outer wall. There was something strange about this man. When the wind blew, his hair was not ruffled. When something stood in his way, it didn't remain like that for long. Things didn't seem to touch him. Our sentries hollered to him, and he looked at them, unfazed. He made some hand movements and suddenly sentry blood covered the walls. He walked on.

This stronghold has served me well for years. Through this whole mess, none have been able to penetrate its walls. It has defenses unrivaled, and the only way in is secret and heavily guarded. The only way to get in was, until now, if I let you in. Had the only entrance been discovered, the one who recovered it would be killed instanly, for our elite guards were stationed there. Few survived their wrath. Something tells me this man will. Nothing can touch him. Our arrows always seem to miss, and our best marksman cannot hit him from point-blank range. Any swordsmen that approach crumple to the ground without a sound. We have tried everything but it seems to be to no avail. This leaves me with two possible courses of action.

I can stay here, and fight this apparition. I believe that this would be fruitless. I dare not fight, lest I meet the same end as my troops. They fought honorably. However if we are to stop this abomination we must be alive. There must be a way. This leaves me my other course of action. I do not know exactly what will happen to me if I stay. He might let me live, a sole survivor, a harsh mercy. He may kill me. He might torture me until I beg for death. He might take me to the rest of his kind, if there are any. But whatever the case, it is moreorless certain that should I escape I will survive. But I know I must stay. I will stay until the end. I need to know who this person is, how he does what he does, where he comes from. I will stay with my castle until the bitter end.
