These double stacks were funded by AMC (Army Materiel Command), which is the Command that Ric's civilian job is under, TACOM LCMC (Life Cycle Managment Command). The civilian population here is growing by leaps and bounds. This is some of their housing. I feel this is in preparation to reduce some of the military presence here in the future. There are news reports currently stating that there are plans in the works to reduce the soldiers numbers sometime this summer. These double stack units have toilets and a sink in each room. Ed and I are still in the single units, however, we now have toilet and shower trailers that are functional. They are just a short walk through the housing area.
As you can see the double stacks require "higher" barriers, the concrete walls that are on top of the bunkers. |
