"Feel the Holiday Magic" page 2
Ric titled this picture "Good Guys Bunker Radar".  I'm assuming that they are bunkers with radar!  Just another one of the fabulous sights of Camp Anaconda!
The fence you see in the picture is the one that goes around the entire base.  The big thing is a guard tower.  On the right hand side were children, tending a big flock of sheep.  An amazing contrast, isn't it?
Just another one of the fabulous packages that Ric has received from our dear family and friends!  This one is from the people he works with at TACOM...look at all the goodies!  Between Ed, and Ric, they have a stockpile of snacks, supplies, movies and books.  They have shared a lot of these things with other soldiers, as well as the Iraqi people who come in to do work around the base!  Imagine how happy these poor people are to recieve baby wipes for their babies, as well as American food and snacks, toothbrushes, etc.    These people risk their lives to work on the American base for about $8 a day, just to support their families and to further democracy in their country.  These are the stories you don't hear about on TV.  There is so much that is good going on over there.  Ric and Ed are so grateful for all of the things they have gotten.  Ric says they have enough food already to last the entire year!  :)  They may be sent home for excessive weight gain!  Hmmm....there's an idea...
Another HUGE Thank You to  Tina (Morle) Rich and her Dentist office co-workers for the fabulous package of sheets, cleaning supplies, DVDs, books, and all around treats!  These people were amazing!  They don't even know Ric and there were such a blessing to him.  Note:  The sheets are a real treat for him...the ones issued by the Army were definately not the "thread-count" he was used to at home!  He's in heaven!  And sleeping like a baby...WE LOVE YOU!
