We are so saddened at the passing of the President of our church, Brother Dominic Thomas. He was a fair, kind, loving and compassionate man...who put God first always...and walked the talk his whole life. He was a wonderful example to all, and our family will truly miss his smile and kind words. Such people do not come our way very often...and he leaves behind tremendous shoes to fill. Our hearts go out to his family...and the rest of those who loved him as we did.

Our family, this month, was invited to Comerica Park (Home of the Detroit Tigers) for an unveiling of a very special tribute to our late cousin, Gary Vitto. Mr. and Mrs. Illitch (owners of the Tigers, Red Wings, Fox Theatre, and Little Ceasars Pizza) graciously hosted a dinner with for our entire family, and a special tribute to Gary. Their kind words and such a great monument, which was placed in the lobby of the Executive Offices of Comerica Park, was a great honor for our family. With laughter and tears, we enjoyed a wonderful evening. We thank the Illitch Family for their love and kindness. We miss Gary every day.

We have some prayer requests. 2 very special little girls that we know and love need your prayers. We are including their websites in case you want to meet who you are praying for! We know that God can do ANYTHING...and that there is indeed power in prayer. Marisa is a very sweet little girl, who recently recieved a liver transplant. Our hearts are filled with appreciation and sympathy for the donor family who gave to much to Marisa. This precious little one has been through so much, and yet...she continues to smile and fight on...

Baby Faith was born with some complications. Currently she is only showing tiny signs of movement in her legs. Again...we know that God can heal every problem that Faith faces. She is gorgeous...and so very loved. We pray for her continued progress! GO FAITH!
I recieved a book called Prayers & Promises from a good friend at Christmas. Recently in reading them, I found a great blessing and much encouragement. Since we all seek the comfort of God's promises at times, I thiought I would share them with you... -Karyn- O Lord, I have peered into a microscope and seen a world in one drop of water. I have gazed through a telescope and have seen stars and galaxies uncountable. When I see the majesty of Your vast creation, I am brought to my knees in wonder. But in my humble admiration, there is also a desperate question: Do You notice me and concern Yourself with me? I thank You, Lord for personally answering my question. When I am apprehensive, I put my trust in You, and You keep me safe. When I am lonely, You talk to me. When I am sad, You make me happy. When I am weak, I bow before You and feel your strength. O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! (Psalm 8:9)
When I face the enemy, Jesus, I can can still have peace. Not in my ability to withstand sin in my own strength, but in Your ability and willingness to overcome everything evil that I face today. No trouble I face is beyond Your command, Lord. Whether it's at home, on the job, or in the community, there's no place I go that You won't go with me. As I face evil, I never stand alone. I don't have to rely on my strength alone to get me through. Thank You, Jesus, for overcoming all the trials and troubles in my life. When You overcome, I too am wholly victorious! "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." (John 16:33 NIV)
