To our dear friend Rico Yan: A Eulogy
A kind and dependable friend who's always there and willing to listen, a good son and a role model to the youth, an outstanding student, a sweet and caring brother, and person with a big heart who has lots to offer. Rico Yan would always be present and will live within the hearts of many for he was a person with a good heart. Who can forget a great guy whose jokes and funny antics never fail to make people smile and laugh?
The lives he has touched - from his MTB family, his friends and his relatives reminisce the moments they've shared with this extraordinary guy. His memories will always linger in their hearts. Wherever he is, Rico will never get used to listening to the nice words his friends and relatives have to say.

Si Rico parang big brother 'yan, 'pag may gusto siyang bilhin, hindi pwedeng
siya lang dapat lahat meron.
Leandro Muņoz: Si
Rico palaging nakatawa, parati kaming nagmumurahan sa text. Never mong
makikitang malungkot 'yan, basta napakasaya niyang tao.
Michelle Bayle:
Napakamaasikaso ni Rico. Parang siya pa ang parang kuya ni Bobby. He gives
advices to his friends. He gives me advices and I look up to him.
'SANG LINGGO NAPO SILA:
Buboy Garovillo: Ang
napansin ko kay Rico nung nagsismula pa lang siya sa Sang Linggo nAPO Sila, he
was sincere in his work. Hindi siya nakikisali sa tsismis tungkol sa ibang tao.
Ang hindi ko lang nasabi sa kanya na he was doing okey kasi may times na okay 'yung
career niya then lie-low na naman. When I heard about it, naisip ko na sayang
siya talaga at nakikita ko sa kanya na habang pinapanood ko siya na gagaling pa
siya sa acting.

I can say is that I'm so proud of you.
Bing Loyzaga:
Rico was very open to advices. He's very down to earth. He was a good example to
everybody especially the youth and I admire him for that. I just hope that
people saw that in him. Thank you Rico, you have reached for your star. Now that
you are with the stars, I will always look up on you.
RELATIVES:
Aunt Maui Aglipay: Si
Rico is very respectful, malambing sa mga pamangkin niya, sa tita or tito niya,
at very maasikaso.
Uncle Gen. Eduardo Aglipay: Rico
is very caring. He was a good example sa youth. Brother Bobby Yan: Rico always
gives hmself to others, and now that he is gone a lot of relationshps are now
mended. 'Yung mga hindi nag-uusap, nag-uusap na. Kaya let's love each other
because that what Rico wants.
Cousin Mia Yan:
One thing na mami-miss namin kay Rico ay 'yung panunukso niya sa aming lahat na
mataba at pagka-comedy niya.
Cousin Micheal Aglipay:
Palagi niyang sinasabi na close dapat kaming lahat kahit na tumanda na kami at
close daw dapat lahat kaming family.

One thing na hindi ko makakalimutan is that nung naghati kami sa bayad ng
celebration namin ng aming birthday. Kaya bisita niya , bisita ko.

was a good friend to me.

Si Rico palaging masaya. Kapag nale-late siya sa taping nakangiti pa rin siya na
para bang walang problema. At sa amin, siya lang hindi binibigyan ng fine 'pag
nale-late. Malakas siya sa EP (executive producer) namin.

Si Sir palagi niyang tinatanung kung sakin kung kumain na ako.

WHATTAMEN:
Dominic Ochoa: Palagi
kaming nagkukulitan pero the good thing about it is that we know each others
limitations at si Rico mahilig 'yan matulog. Mahal ko si Rico dahil he is more
than a friend to me, more than a brother. Rico said to me that he loves his
fans, for him his family is the best and to Claudine, Rico loves you so much
even up to the last moment, kaya lets quit everything, lets love each other,
lets do this for Rico. We don't have to say anything anymore 'coz you already
know what you wanted to hear from us, all your friends, we love you so much.
Alam ko kung anong purpose kung bakit nangyari ito. Don't worry nandito kami
para sa 'yo.
Marvin Agustin:
He gives me advices at tactics. Ituturo niya lahat sa 'yo kapag may problema ka.
Kaya I miss Rico for being a brother to me. Mami-miss ko 'yung kakulitan niya.
Bro, I know you're happy now. 'Yung sinasabi mo sa amin pagpapatuloy namin 'yun.

MTB CAST:
Amy Perez:
Once Rico and I talked. Pinagusapan namin kung anung gusto naming set-up 'pag
kami namatay. Sabi niya na gusto niya lahat naka-white ang mga tao at umiinom ng
wine parang party and may techno music at lahat masaya. Marami pang pwede magawa
si Rico pero naiintindihan ko na kung bakit na siya kinuha ni Lord,. Baka marami
pa siyang darating na trials sa buhay na baka hindi niya makayanan kaya't He
treated us like his family. Pinakita niya na mabait siyang anak. Ang mami-miss
ko sa kanya ay pag-umaga pagmasama 'yung loob ko sinasabi niya, "Mama, you
look wonderful today." Maalala kita 'pag magluluto ako ng liempo at ng
pasta.
Bayani Agbayani: Si
Rico kasi gusto niyang maging ninong ng anak ko kaya itutuloy ko 'yun. Ninong pa
rin siya ng anak ko.
Roderick Paulate:
Now mixed emotions ako. Lahat ng grupo alam na there was a time na malayo ako,
na akala nila na lumalayo ako. Takot kasi ako maging close, may ganun akong
attitude. Noong nag-abroad kami, nakilala ko 'yung Whattamen. Kung kailan nade-develop
na 'yung friendshp saka pa siya nawala. Dati sabi niya na I was to far that he
wants to reach out, gusto ko malaman mo Rico na mahal ko kayong lahat, mahal
kita.
John Estrada:
Actually, I'm still in shock. One thing that I admire about Rico is that he
loves kids and I know that he loves my kids. Right now I want to hug him and
thank him again for being there. My kids miss him. Rics, kahit saan ka man, I
want to thank you again for the advices you gave me and rest assured that one of
the advices that you gave me, I'll keep forever.
Gary Lim: I
want to thank Rico dahil dati muntik na ako kasi malunod sinagip niya ako.

Ang hindi ko makakalimutan kay Rico ay 'yung nasa Hong Kong kami. Magkasama kami

absober ko kasi Rico. 'Di ko naman alam na problemado din siya dahil hindi mo
kasi mahahalata sa kanya. Napaka-gentleman niya. Pagbitbit ko gamit ko
tinutulungan niya ako. Kausap ko siya palagi sa text. He was a good friend.
Vanessa del Bianco:
Rico was a good friend. What I really remember about him is that mahilig siya sa
coffee kaya everyday before mag-start 'yung MTB, he would offer me coffee. Thank
you for being a perfect gentleman.

ko si Rico, wala ng gagahasa sa akin sa taping! Love you 'By. Tawag niya kasi sa
akin 'By,' short for baby.
