RICO YAN
Ricardo Carlos Castro Yan started out as a commercial model. This Piscean guy was first recognized through an astringent commercial where he threw the lines, "'Yan ang sekreto ng mga guwapo!" He was a mainstay of the youth-oriented show, Gimik. Rico was one of the regular cast of the soap operas, Saan Ka Man Naroroon and Mula Sa Puso with Claudine Barretto. He used to co-host the variety show, 'Sang Linggo Napo Sila with the APO Hiking Society. He has been featured twice in Star Drama Theater. His past movies, which include Radio Romance, Ama, Ina, Anak, Madrasta, and Dahil Mahal Na Mahal Kita.
He has earned a degree in Business Management at the De La Salle University and is now the co-owner and head of Marketing for Tequila Joe's chain of resto-bars. He also owns Orbitz Pearl Shake.
When I asked young and not-so young ladies what they think about Rico Yan, they gave him a rating of "isang box!" I must admit, that's not too original. If you've been watching television a lot (since you were young) you probably know that famous line in the commercial. And of course who's a fool not to notice his baby face and those two dimples when he endorsed facial cleanser for men?
