Charles Bearden



Charles has 27 years coaching experience in girls softball. During this time he is credited with having coached teams that qualified and played in one 10U NIT, two 12U National Tournaments, one 14U NSA National Tournament, one 14U ASA National Tournament, one 16U ASA National Tournament and two Hall of Fame Tournaments.

He coached the Garland Legends for 9 years which 5 of the starters received scholarships to play college softball-two in Division I. A coach from one college wanted to sign the entire team to his school.

Over the years, he has attended several National Coaches Schools and is a Certified ASA Clinician-- having put on numerous coaches and players clinics.

Charles served on the Garland Girls Softball Board for approximately 22 years, holding several positions over the years, including Vice President, Tournamnet Director, League Representative and Player Rep.

Currently he is a Deputy Junior Olympic Commissioner and he has held that position for approximately 14 years.
