High Flow Fuel Rail
Here's a cheap way to convert your stock
later style fuel rail to high flow. It will help ensure a rich safe mixture by
having plenty of fuel volume for big injectors, and it will flow just as well
as aftermarket pieces, but for much less cost. It also may help richen up your
mixture without doing anything else, almost like turning up fuel pressure.

After hacking off the tube at the end in
the spot shown, and unscrewing the diaphragm. . .

. . . drill out the tube and pull it out
from the side where the diaphragm was on. Then plug the end up where you
drilled somehow. Or you could do what I did and take a piece of the barb you
hacked off as shown. I got the little barb silver soldered on. I used the
nipple to attach a little fuel pressure gauge to. I was also had a second fuel
pressure regulator hooked up to it to reroute fuel through via a solenoid to up
the pressure for high boost.
For the side the diapragm was on, I took
an 18 mm (inside diameter) nut and had a piece of metal welded to it. I then
drilled and tapped the piece of steel so a 1/8 brass fitting would screw into
it. I then ran a long rubber fuel line from the supply tube off the fire wall
to the new brass barb. You could make the end so you could run a braided line
to it if you want.
