It was written by over twenty seperate contributers.
It tells of a stage play of Lord of the Rings that goes terribly wrong. Lines are forgotten or ignored, fighting breaks out constantly, and the jokes fly at the expense of the other characters.
Chris read this script and found it hilarious. He thought it would make a good movie so he decided to look into it. After some discussion, the makers of the parody gave him permission to take a shot at it.
Chris looked over the script and realized much of it was unfilmable. After hearing that the writers were planning on revising it, but that revision wasn't going to be completed for a long while, he decided the best approach would be to try and adapt a screenplay out of it himself.
