The Ricky and Del Connection is Sacramento's Premier
acoustic Guitar,Sax & Drums trio. In fact, They are the only
acoustic guitar,sax & drums trio in Sac.
The members are Ricky Ranchero ( Gene Smith ) on Acoustic Guitar
and lead Vocals, and Del Nilepez ( Neil Franklin ) on Drums and
on Vocals and on...etc. etc. Both formerly of the Mighty KAI KLN.
On Alto Sax is Flamp Sorvari of the Prog Band Avant Garden.
R&DC (Ricky & Del Connection ) is drawing from different
musical styles in an attempt to create a new sound, with tastes
of rock, jazz, hardcore, blues, and progressive all in the mix,
sometimes in the same song.
This line-up thrives on musical spontaneity & crowd participation
which makes them not only pleasing to the ears but fun to watch,
not forgetting how incredibly good-looking they are.
The recording you will hear accurately represents the band's sound
live and otherwise. All recordings are first or second takes in
