Thomas M. Yarnall

Thomas M. "Tommy" Yarnall, 48, of 2653 University Ave., formerly of 649 West 11th St., died of apparent sudden heart complications, Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1999, at home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Nativity Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Siegert-Didesch Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave., where there will be a Nativity Parish scripture wake service at 8 p.m. He worked at the former Dubuque Packing Co. for many years and also managed the Kentucky Fried Chicken Restaurant. He was born on March 14, 1951, in Dubuque, son of William and Audrey (Chapman) Yarnall. He married Sherry Potter in 1978. He was a driver and fan of stock car racing. Surviving are a son, Steven M. Yarnall, of Dubuque; a daughter, Rachel A. Yarnall, of Dubuque; his parents, William and Audrey; a brother, William (Kathy) Yarnall, of San Jose, Calif.; two sisters, Linda Luedtke, of Dubuque, and Beth (James) Rupp, of Spring, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Merrill and Myrtle Chapman and William and Mary Yarnall. A Thomas M. Yarnall Memorial Fund has been established.
