Obituary for Shirley Claire Yarnell
Source: The Indianapolis Star, Indianapolis, Indiana; Shirley Claire Yarnell, age 77, of Shelbyville, Indiana, died Friday, May 7, 2004 after an extended illness. She was born on June 4, 1926 in St. Louis, MO to Grover and Mildred (Lichtenberg) Copeland. Following the death of her mother in 1929, she was raised by Carl and Stella (Lichtenberg) Johnson. Shirley married James E. Yarnell on Aug. 3, 1948, he preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 1998. She was a homemaker. Shirley was a graduate of Southwestern H.S. in St. Louis, MO. There will be private services with no visitation. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; and husband. She is survived by her daughter, Diane P. Yarnell of Shelbyville.
