I John Joliffe Yarnall at present belonging to the United States Navy, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, and being of sound and prefect memory do make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say:
First I give and bequeath all my wearing apparel to my brother Amos,
Secondly I give and bequeath unto my brother Peter and my brother in law Joseph Caldwell 100 dollars to purchase a watch a piece which I desire them to accept as keep sakes, hoping they receive the same as sufficient testimony of my regard for them, they being considered by me so well established in the world as to need no other Bequest.
Thirdly I give and Bequeath 100 dollars to purchase in a similar manner a watch for my sister Elizabeth Bolton which she is desired to keep in charge for herself or her daughter Phoebe Ann.
Fourthly I desire that my executors shall after the payment of my just debts invest the whole of my surplus estate in Bank Stock or public securities for the express purposed becoming a friend for the more comfortable maintenance of my aged mother and to be applied exclusively to her use and benefit during her material life.
Fifthly I give and Bequeath unto my brother Amos a 1/3 part of the whole of my said estate so as before mentioned to be invested in Bank stock public securities or otherwise.
Sixthly I give and Bequeath an equal 1/3rd part of my said estate unto Aquila M. Bolton his executors and administrators to be held by him or them in trust and for the entire use and benefit of my sister Mary Caldwell and her assigns.
Seventhly and lastly I give and Bequeath the remaining 1/3 part or residue of my said invested estate unto Joseph Caldwell his executors and administrators to be held by him or them in trust for the entire use and benefit of my sister Elizabeth Bolton and her assigns.
Further I appoint Aquila M. Bolton and my brother Amos aforesaid Executors of this my last will and testament and hereby revoke all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal at Pittsburgh the sixth day of November 1813.
