Obama finally takes office as the new President of the United States. It'll be interesting to see how the next four years go. He's entering into a difficult time in American history: The economy is in a downward spiral, and we're fighting two wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. I hope Obama does a much better job than George W. Bush, who's retired to his new post-presidential life in Texas. I think the Obamas will do very well in the spotlight, and I hope that their daughters, Malia and Sasha, don't get too overexposed the way that Jenna and Barbara Bush did. I'm now proud to say that my home state of Illinois is the home of the 44th President in history, and the first-ever black one. Again, it'll be interesting to see how he does, but he'll do some great things for America. And best of all, he's a White Sox fan, just like me. Oh, how I wish I were in DC for the big event, but I saw the inauguration on TV. Now, it's back to business as usual...But anyway, good luck, Barack!
