Keeping it smooth, from Chicago to the world beyond!
Going Back to Raleigh Again
Tomorrow, I will take a roadtrip to Raleigh to see my favorite cousin. It'll be the first time I've gone outside of Chicago all summer, as the high gas prices have put off my plans to come and spend time with Natasha. Speaking of which, she's starting up her sophomore year in college, and she can hardly wait! Back home, a big baseball trade took place, as the White Sox acquired one of the greatest sluggers of all-time in Ken Griffey, Jr. I used to watch him torment Sox pitching while he was a member of the Seattle Mariners, and now, he's ready to make some history with the Sox. Hopefully, he'll get back his mojo that apparently never showed in Cincinnati. I will be in Raleigh for all of next week, and I will return to Chicago the following Sunday. Now that the gas prices are starting to drop, this is the relief that I badly needed. I've already started to pack for the long stay, so my bags will be ready to go into the trunk tomorrow morning. Well, my birthday's coming up, so I know that it'll be an extra-special one, now that I'll be celebrating it with Natasha. I hope she continues to do well in college, and I wish her all the best of luck in the upcoming second year. If you're reading this, don't forget to wish me a Happy Birthday, and Go White Sox!
