Keeping it smooth, from Chicago to the world beyond!
Looking Back...And Ahead
If you ask me how 2007 went, I'll tell you no lie: It was one crazy year. I've been busy with my blog and MySpace page, which I've had since spring. I helped one cousin get ready for college, and learned to accept another cousin's homosexuality. I ended a seven-year friendship with someone I met in Baltimore and found myself in a committed relationship with yet another Baltimorean. And to top this, I've had to endure endless winter storms that have all but wiped out my band's holiday schedule, but I managed to save it with a few gigs on the week before Christmas. So, in short, I've had a very crazy 2007, but I hope that 2008 goes a lot smoother. Along with my continued relationship, I've gotten back in touch with my old high school friends, and made a new one in Monica White, the trumpet player from Cincinnati who is a real jazz lover just like me! I don't know what will happen next year, but I'm ready to find out as it begins less than two days from now. So in my last post of 2007, I want to say thanks for reading, and I hope you keep reading in 2008. I would also like to wish everyone a Happy New Year, and if you're traveling, I hope you have a safe one, too!
