Last night, I received a MySpace friend request from Monica White, a trumpet player from Cincinnati who happens to share the same interests as me. She's a very loyal supporter of jazz in the Queen City, and she's a big fan of all styles, from traditional to contemporary. Of course I accepted her friend request, and she told me that she's starting her own blog soon. Here's the URL to Monica's new MySpace page:

It's no surprise that she and I already have a few friends in common, like Boney James, Jeff Golub, Heavyshift and Greg Adams. Because I have a strong connection to the Smooth Jazz community, I could tell her about some of the friends she should add next, and she could recommend some artists to me.
