Thanksgiving in Raleigh
Oh, how time sneaks up on us so often that before we know it, it's already here! Yesterday, I found out that Thanksgiving was just a week away, and that means I better start preparing for my trip to Raleigh. I have to pick out my clothes, set aside some gas money, and call my relatives to remind them of the invitation. The best part about going back to Raleigh next week is that my cousin Natasha is returning from school in Greensboro. At the moment, she is doing quite well, pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. That's something I should've done in the past, when I had the chance. Come to think of it, I'm glad she's living my dream, and hopefully by 2011 I will see her graduate on stage with her degree. As for me, I'm making some significant progress on my anger management issues. In fact, since I ended things with that boy from Charlotte, my temper has improved by leaps and bounds, and I'm as happy as ever! I know that I still have a long way to go before I'm better, but I'm getting there. Hopefully, by this time next year, I will be a changed man. To beat the traffic, I plan to leave on Wednesday morning so I can make it there that evening. I will return to Chicago on Sunday, and I do not plan to detour to Charlotte this time. Natasha can't wait to spend Christmas in Chicago, and I'm looking forward to that as well. Well, I have to get ready for the long drive to Raleigh, so I must close for now, but I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving, and if you're traveling somewhere, I hope you have a safe trip!
