Back at it Again!
As you've probably heard, I'm a big music fan, especially R&B, hip-hop and jazz. So I've decided to add more artists to my MySpace friends list. As of today, the following artists have accepted my friend request:
And there should be even more to come. Except for Kanye, I've heard all of the above artists on WNUA at one time or another, and it's so nice to hear that Queen Latifah is doing well as a crossover artist. Originally a well-known rapper back in the early '90s, she has since showed off her singing prowess in the jazz world. I have been a big fan of hers through the years, and it's nice that she has been able to pull off what very few performers can even dream about: appeal to everyone, and not just an urban black audience, either. Some of my white friends like her, too. Now on to Kanye: I'm a huge supporter of everything associated with Chicago, which is why I added him to my list. So my list of hometown artists includes Steve Cole, Nick Colionne, Ramsey Lewis, Herbie Hancock and Kanye West. Ever since I first heard the smash hit Slow Jamz a few years ago, I've gotten hooked on him, and I'm more of a jazz fanatic! (However, I like R&B and hip-hop just the same; the only problem is that I don't listen as much as I once did.) Anyway, I've just gotten started on expanding my MySpace circle, and I'm looking to make even more friends before I'm through. The list of potential future friends includes: Richard Elliot, Rick Braun, Incognito, Brian McKnight, Brandy, Candy Dulfer, Ray J. and Dave Koz, to name a few. And since Ray J. and Brandy are brother and sister, I just might become inspired to ask either my brother Walter or my cousin Natasha to start their own MySpace page, so I could add them to my list. I already have a mother and daughter on my Top Friends list, and I happen to be in love with the mother, LOL! In fact, they're the first two people on my Top Friends list! Well, the list keeps growing, and I now have 325 friends on MySpace. The most recent additions have become my former high school classmates and my favorite artists. I'll give an update as the time goes by. 2007-11-11 04:03:17 GMT
