Second Chances
Now that I've apologized to my friend Teddy in Charlotte for calling him an idiot because he left me hanging the last time I visited his hometown, things should return to normal once again. After all, he said he didn't mean to do what he did either, and we will both do everything in our power to make my next visit better than the last. I'd also like to congratulate him on finding a new job at Food Lion, to go along with his studies at the local community college. I know he'll do very well at his job, just like he is in his studies. He's maintaining an A-average in his classes, so that makes him a lot smarter than I would've thought. Despite our recent fallout, we're still good friends with each other, and I consider myself lucky enough to have had him for seven years. All I wanted was to tell him how sorry I was, and I knew he'd give me a second chance, because once you've shown loyalty towards your friends, you deserve the same thing, too. I now realize that I can no longer hold one unfortunate event against him, so I'm dropping the matter once and for all. On the upside, I hope he finds new friends in Charlotte, because he really deserves them. Hopefully, with the money he'll be earning from working at Food Lion, he will be able to take them out somewhere. I really don't know Charlotte that well, so I can't recommend any places to go for a night out, but he can! A note to Teddy: If you ever read this, remember that the next time someone calls you an idiot, just stand up to them and tell them to leave you alone. They will respect you afterwards, and hopefully, they won't make the same mistake I did. I wish you the best of luck in your upcoming endeavors, and I hope you continue to make a lot of new friends until the end of your semester!
