Seems to me that this is the way my life is. Let's review the things that have happened to me over the last seven years: Back in Y2K, I moved to Baltimore from Chicago, and took up a new administrative job. However, I always came back home at least once a year, because my ties to the Windy City can never be broken. Fast-forward to 2003, when I fell in love, and man, was it the greatest feeling ever! In retrospect, I never had time for anything like this, because I was too busy with my music, especially piano practice. And then I quit my job and took up a work-at-home position, and I have been doing this ever since. Finally, in 2006, my brother Walter gave me the call that would change my life forever. He wanted to get the band together, so I agreed to come back to Chicago, and I haven't been back to Baltimore since. Turns out I will need to do so more often, because I recently wrote out a sweet and simple proposal to Rhanda on MySpace, and, of course, she accepted. I can't wait to see her again, and I know the day is coming fast very soon! And that's why I like to sum up my life as, "It just happens that way." By the way, this was inspired by the first album from my girl Mindi Abair, a saxophone player who's quickly become one of my favorite smooth jazz artists, and I'm now connected to her via MySpace!
