A Very Happy Homecoming
I'm very happy to announce that my North Carolina vacation has a very happy ending. First, I checked MySpace and saw that my proposal had been accepted. Granted, it's the latest addition to a growing phenomenon called "MySpace marriage", but hey, I'm engaged now! Then I read an email from my friend Teddy, who had ditched me on his birthday, but offered his most heartfelt apology ever. Sure, he's an idiot at times, but I still love him. After all, he said he was wrong, and I accept his apology. And, best of all, Natasha's in her first week of studies at A&T in Greensboro. I remember it was the same time last year, when I came to see her, and she asked me why I never went to college. I told her that I wanted to earn some money, so I decided to work. Now that most of my old classmates have been to college, and some of them are even attending graduate school, I wish I was one of them, too. But at least I have my band and my work-at-home position to fall back on. I'm planning to spend Thanksgiving in Raleigh, because that's when Natasha is coming home. Then, hopefully, she might come to Chicago for Christmas and New Year's, too. For now, though, I'll be rooting for her to do well in college, and I wish Teddy the same thing, too. Go Aggies!
