Natasha's Special Weekend
Yesterday, Natasha had her going-away party, and a lot of her old high-school friends were there. We had a cookout, and there was fun, games, and lots of music. I know everyone had a great time at the party, because I did, too. I've never seen that many cars parked outside for one event (yes, most of Natasha's friends also drive), and I probably never will for a while. Again, I'm sorry I missed her high-school graduation, but I wish her the best of luck as she begins a new chapter in her life at A&T. We'll wait out the rush-hour traffic, which I hear is really bad around Raleigh, and then we'll drive our own cars to Greensboro once the traffic thins out. Natasha's ready to pack her belongings into her RAV-4, and I will help her. I've already printed out the directions from Raleigh to A&T provided by Mapquest (www.mapquest.com), so I will lead the way in my Camry. Then when I get there, I will let Natasha lead me into the campus entrance, and we'll set up her dorm room together. I'm planning to spend a few days in Greensboro, just to get a feel of the city. Right now, I'm checking my emails and my MySpace profile. And then, I'll pack Natasha's things into her car. From what I hear, she has a new laptop of her own, so she can catch up on her studies without having to use the university's computers. She also asked me about setting up an email account, and I recommended Yahoo! to her, so hopefully, she'll have her account set up before Labor Day. And then we can send each other email, so I'll know exactly how her semester's going. I hope she makes a lot of friends in college this year, because I know she's very likable. Anyway, I must close for now, but I just want to wish Natasha good luck, and I hope her college life is going well.
