I've just arrived in Charlotte, and I'm now writing my newest blog entry using the Wi-Fi at the Holiday Inn uptown. The weather was decent when I left Raleigh, but then I ran into some heavy thundershowers traveling on I-85 between Greensboro and Charlotte. I'm spending the night in the Queen City, then I'm returning to Chicago tomorrow. My mother is still living in the Windy City and doing quite well, if you're asking. I promised her that I'd be back by tomorrow night, and she said I should go out and get something nice. I think I'll get her some Charlotte postcards, and maybe a snow globe. My good friend Teddy lives in Charlotte, and he told me that uptown is a great place to take a stroll in, so I'll do that, and if I'm lucky, I might catch a live show. I might not see him while I'm here in the Queen City, but if I ever come that way again, I'll definitely see him then. He says I owe him big! Well, I have some walking to do, so I must close for now. But I'll return to the Windy City with a recap of my stay in this part of Carolina. For now, Ciao!
