The Latest Update from MySpace...
As I write this, I’m currently at 245 friends and counting on MySpace. Most of my friends are either from Chicago, Baltimore or the Raleigh/Durham area, and my circle also includes some of my favorite Smooth Jazz artists. Anyone who listens to WNUA, WSMJ, or WZTK (during the weekend) would be impressed with my very special friends in the music industry. Meanwhile, Teddy, my friend in Charlotte, has decided to reach out to other cities in North and South Carolina, which I wish I could’ve done, although I don’t know anyone in any part of either state outside the Triangle, except for Teddy in Charlotte. Well, good luck to him, and I hope he gets a lot of new friends of his own. I know he’ll have a nice, large circle to boot. We have been sharing the Triangle and vying for some of the same friends up there. But because Duke is in Durham and the rival Tar Heels play in Chapel Hill, we’ve been very careful not to venture too deep into enemy territory. For the most part, Teddy’s focused on Chapel Hill, and I on Durham, and we like it that way. So far, I’ve been informed that he’s acquired new friends from eight Carolina cities, and he’s looking to visit seven more. And once he’s done with his search, he’ll put on a formal welcome to all his new friends, although some of them have been wondering why he’d want them to be their friend. At least I never got that question from anyone in the Triangle area, because I still have family in Raleigh, and I’m a Blue Devils fan at heart. If I had to live my life over again, I would attend Duke University. Anyway, I wish Teddy the best of luck as he continues his search, and I hope he gets a lot of friends. He really deserves them. 2007-06-16 21:44:43 GMT
