Recently, I decided to expand my circle of friends even further to include the hottest names in contemporary jazz. I own most of their CD's, and I'm now in the process of joining their prestigious groups. Just to name a few, I've contacted Boney James, Euge Groove, Chris Botti, Diana Krall, Nick Colionne, Steve Cole, David Benoit, and Mindi Abair for inclusion into their MySpace pages. I also contacted my idol, Ramsey Lewis, for inclusion onto his MySpace pages as well. I figured that if they saw my profile page with the WNUA wallpaper on it, they would be my friends. Because I'm a jazz fanatic at heart, it's no wonder that I'm asking these artists to let me join their own circles of friends. I will be the envy of all my other friends, because I've included my favorite jazz artists in my circle, but I've also decided to contact Urban powerhouse WGCI (www.wgci.com), so at least I still have an in with them. In addition, I've joined the groups for fans of the White Sox, Bears and Bulls, as well as the Duke Blue Devils. I'm so disappointed that they lost in the first round of both the ACC and NCAA tournaments. The pain isn't going away anytime soon, but there's always next season to look forward to. Anyway, I'm building up my circle even further, and pretty soon I might crack the elusive 200 mark. (By the way, I think Teddy's already there, and if he's not, he so close to it!)

And those jazz artists that I've added will one day realize just how lucky I am to have such elite company. They're welcome to quote me with the catchphrase "Keep it Smooth!"
