I'm currently visiting with family in Raleigh, but I'll be leaving for Charlotte either tomorrow or Sunday. And when I leave on my road trip to Charlotte, I know that I'll have my favorite smooth jazz playing...on one of the strangest places on the dial! Ususlly, WZTK (www.fmtalk1011.com) is a news/talk radio station, but on the weekends it switches over to a smooth jazz format that, for the most part, has found its niche as a part-time offering on North Carolina stations. WMAG in Greensboro (www.wmagradio.com) and WBAV in Charlotte  (www.v1019.com) also play smooth jazz on the weekends, but not wall-to-wall like WZTK. In fact, WMAG and WBAV only play the format on Sundays, and that's it. But whenever I'm in Raleigh, I can always tune in to WZTK, and it'll be just like listening to WNUA back home in Chicago! When I drive south tomorrow, I'll definitely have 101.1 on my dial. And when I leave Charlotte the day after, I might play 101.9, if it still plays jazz. We'll just have to see about that...
